Given : A body of mass 5kg is initial at rest

Due to application of external force of 20N it accelerates.

To Find :

1) Velocity in 3 sec

2) Displacement in 3 sec

3) It linear momentum

4) Kinetic energy

Solution:

m = 5 kg

u = 0

F = 20 N

F = ma

=> 20 = 5a

=> a = 4 m/s²

V = u + at

Velocity at 3 secs

= 0 + 4(3)

= 12 m/s

Displacement in 3 sec

S = ut + (1/2)at²

=> S = 0 + (1/2)4(3)²

=> S = 18 m

Linear Momentum  = mv

= 5 (12)

= 60  kgm/s  or Ns

Kinetic energy = (1/2)mv²

= (1/2)5(12)²

= 360 J
