m = 5kg

h1 = 3m

h2 = 6m

(i)Initial potential energy = mgh1

= 5×9.8×3

= 147J

(ii) Final potential energy = mgh2

= 5×9.8×6

= 294J

(iii) The change in total potential energy

= 294 - 147

= 147J
