A body of mass 6 kg falls down from a height of 5m calculate the change in potential energy of the body

Potential energy = mass×gravity×height
=6×9.8×5
=294J

Therefore potential energy of the body is 294 Joules.

change in PE
=> change in final - change in initial


so , PE = mgh1( final ) - mgh2( initial )

PE = 0- 6× 10× 5


PE change = 300 j
