Given,
Mass (m) = 6kg
initial velocity (v1) = 3m/s
final velocity (v2) = 5m/s
We know that momentum of a body is product of mass and velocity.
So,
Initial Momentum= m×v1
= 6×3
=18kg.m/sec
Final Momentum= m×v2
= 6×5
=30kg.m/sec
Change in Momentum= Final Momentum - Initial Momentum
= 30-18
= 12kg.m/s
Mass (m) = 6kg
initial velocity (v1) = 3m/s
final velocity (v2) = 5m/s
We know that momentum of a body is product of mass and velocity.
So,
Initial Momentum= m×v1
= 6×3
=18kg.m/sec
Final Momentum= m×v2
= 6×5
=30kg.m/sec
Change in Momentum= Final Momentum - Initial Momentum
= 30-18
= 12kg.m/s
