Hey there,

the body must be possessing both kinetic energy as well as potential energy.

it is so bcoz it is moving with some velocity (kinetic energy) and it has some height ( potential energy) with taking ground as reference.

so, 1/2 mv^2 + mgh

= 1/2 ×8 ×5 + 8 ×10 ×10

= 20 + 800

= 820 J

I have taken g=10 metre per sec sq. u may take it 9.8
