A body of mass 8kg is acted upon by two perpendicular forces of 16Nand 12N. Give the magnitude and direction of the acceleration of the body.

since we know f=ma
and net force acting in this case is (16N-12N)= 4N
4=8*a
a=4/8=0.5 metre per second square
magnitude of acceleration is 0.5 metre per second square
and the direction in which the force of 16N was applied is the direction of the acceleration.
