Ah it's a simple question,

Listen,

downward acceleration = g/6

Also,

Equation of motion is :-

Mg - T = Ma

Where M is mass of the body,

Why Mg - T but not T - Mg?

Because acceleration is downward = g/6 ,

So net force is downward,

Mg is acting downward but Tension by string on the body is acting upward,

Now, in above equation of motion

Put a = g/6

We have taken downward motion in positive direction so Mg acts in positive direction, Tension act in negative direction and net acceleration is in downward or you can say in positive direction,

So Mg - T = M(g/6)

T = 5Mg/6,

So work done by Tension of string in displacing the body by distance x is :-

5Mg/6 * x
