Mass of the body=m
Initial velocity=u
Final Velocity=v
Initial Momentum= mu
Final Momentum= mv
Hence change in momentum= mv-mu
change in momentum=m(v-u)

sizuka111: but after colliding with a wall it still returns back with velocity u!!
Verma1111: after collision it moves with velocity having different value from u then how u=v...??
sizuka111: maybe the v was misprinted as u in my textbook I've corrected it now! thanks for you help
Verma1111: welcome
