at maximum height, velocity of particle will be , v = horizontal component of initial velocity = ucosΦ

force acting on body at maximum height, F = weight of body = mg

so, power = force applied × velocity

= mgucosΦ

hence, instantaneous power by gravitational force will be mgucosΦ
