v1=40,v2=0and v3=30
here v1 for m1 , v2 for m2 and v3 for (m1+m2)

m1v1+m2v2= (m1+m2)v3
40(m1)+0(m2) = (m1+m2)30
40m1 = (m1+m2)30
4m1=3m1+3m2
4m1-3m1=3m2
m1=3m2
m1:m2=3:1
