Initial momentum of the system = m1 * 40 + m2 * 0

Final momentum of the system = (m1 + m2) * 25

By the law of conservation of momentum

Initial momentum = Final momentum

40 m1 = 25 ( m1 + m2)

15 m1 = 25 m2

 \frac{ {m1}}{m2}  =  \frac{5}{3}

Ratio of two masses = 5:3

If any one of the mass is known we can find the other mass.

( I think, may be data insufficient. not sure)
