Normal reaction force for a body on an inclined plane is :

N = mgCosФ

N = mg Cos 45

Mg = 50

Cos 45 = 0.7071

N = 0.7071 × 50 = 35.36N

The resultant force responsible for the motion is :

F = f + mg Sin Ф

f = the frictional force.

mg Sin 45 = 50 × 0.7071 = 35.36 N

28.2 N is the resultant force.

28.2 = 35.36 + f

f = 28.2 - 35.36 = - 7.4 N

We take the absolute value = 7.4 N
