so the chain will pull the ceiling and vice versa as said by Newton . So the chain pulls the ceiling with all the weight it it can exert. now weights are the forces pulling the ceiling so they pull the ceiling with a force ( w1+w2 ) unless the chain is making some angle or some thing else . now force exerted by chain on celing =w1+w2 so force with which the ceiling pulls the cahin is same w1+w2
