A body partly immersed, floats in a liquid
contained in a beaker. The beaker is kept inside
a lift falling freely under gravity. The upthrust
on the body due to liquid is :
(a) Zero
(b) Equal to weight of body in air
(c) Equal to weight of liquid displaced

Explanation:

Explanation:sWhen the beaker is allowed to fall freely, apparent weight of the body becomes zero i.e. body exerts no force on water. Hence no water is displaced due to weight of the body. So buoyant force i.e. upthrust will also become zero.
