HEYA GM ❤

# POTENTIAL ENERGY

U = mgh

460 = 20 × 10 × h

h = 460/200 = 2.3 METRE

ANSWER :

POTENTIAL ENERGY ( P.E ) =  The energy possessed by a body due to its position or shape is called its potential energy.

Shape : Coiled spring ( elastic potential energy )

            Uncoiled spring.

1 Joule : 1 Joule of work is said to be done when force of 1 Newton acts on a body  and shows displacement of 1 meter.

  • Potential Energy = 460 Joules

                Mass   =   20 kg

                   g       =   10 m/s²

        Height ( h )  =    ?

Potential Energy   =   mgh

           460            =  20 × 10 × h

          Height        =   460 / 20 × 10

          Height       =    2.3 m

∴ The height when  g  =  10 m/s² is  2.3 m
