A body projected upward with the velocity of 30m/s.how height would it raise

Given -

  • Initial velocity = 30 m/s

  • Acceleration due to gravity = -9.8 m/s² ( because it is thrown upward )

  • Final velocity = 0 ( due to maximum height )

To Find -

  • Maximum height

Solution :-

Substituting these values is 3rd equation of motion -

\sf v^2 = u^2 + 2as

\sf 0 = 30^2 - 2 \times 9.8 s

\sf 30^2 = 19.6 s

\sf s = \frac{900}{19.6}

\sf s = 46 \:( approx )

Maximum height = 46 m
