heya..

here is your answer..

Total distance travelled = 125+125=250m.

the displacement = final position- initial position= 0m

average speed = total distance travelled /

total time taken = 250/10 = 25 m/s

average velocity = displacement / total time taken = 0 / 10 = 0 m/s.

It may help you..

Answer:

Distance travelled by body = 250 m

The displacement of the body = 0

The average speed of body = 25 m/s

The average velocity of body =  0

Explanation:

  • Distance is the complete path travelled by body between two points.

       The distance travelled by body = 125 + 125 = 250m

Because the body travelled 125m in upward direction and 125m toward down ward to reach the same point.

  • Displacement is defined as the minimum distance between the initial point and final point of the body. For the given body the initial point and final point are same. Therefore, the displacement of body will be equal to zero.
  • Average speed of a body is determined from total distance travelled per unit time. Average speed can be zero.

        Average speed = distance/ time =\frac{125}{5} = 25m/s

  • Average velocity of a body is determined from total displacement of body per unit time. Average velocity can be  zero, positive or negative and a vector quantity.

        Average velocity = displacement/ time = 0.
