Speed =total distance /total time taken

Total distance =600m

Time taken = 2mins

As we all know si unit of speed is m/s

2 minutes =120s

So,

600m/120s=5m/s

And,

Average Velocity = displacement /total time taken

Displacement =0

(as he returns to the starting point so shortest distance covered is 0)

Total time taken =120s

So,

0m/120s=om/s

Answer - average speed =5m/s and,

Average velocity =0m/s
