SOLUTIOn

  • u = 0 {body started from rest}
  • a = 0.5 m/
  • t = 2 min = 2*60 = 120

Apply this formula

→ s = ut + ½ at²

→ s = 0*2 + ½ × 0.5 × (120)²

→ s = 0 + ½ × 0.5 × 120 × 120

→ s = 0.5 × 60 × 120

→ s = 3600 m

Hence, distance covered by body in 2min is 3600m

Acceleration (a) =0.5m/s^2

Time (t) = 2min

=> 2×60 = 120 seconds
