A body start from rest and moves along the x-axis with constant acceleration 5m/s for 8 seconds. if it continues with constant velocity, what distance will the body cover in 12 seconds since it started from the rest

Using S = ut + 1/2 at^2
Distance travelled in 8 seconds = 160m
 \frac{1}{2}  \times 5 \times   {8}^{2}
Velocity after 8 seconds = 5 * 8 = 40m/S
displacement in last 4 second = 40*4 = 160m
Therefore total distance = 320m
