Distance travelled at 4th second S4 = (1/2)a(4×4) m

Distance travelled at 4th second S3 = (1/2)a(3×3) m

ratio S4/S3 = 16/9

Ans 16:9.

The explanation comes in the following image.

u= initial velocity

v3 = velocity at 3rd second

v4 = velocity at 4th second

a = acceleration

s3 = distance covered at 3rd second

s4 = distance covered at 4th second
