Given:-

  • Initial velocity ,u = 0m/s
  • Acceleration ,a = 2m/s²
  • Time taken ,t = 2s

To Find:-

  • Distance Covered ,s

Solution:-

According to the Question

we have to calculate the the distance covered by body in 2s.

Using 2nd equation of motion

s = ut+1/2at²

where,

  • s denote distance
  • a is the acceleration
  • u is the initial velocity
  • t is the time taken

Substitute the value we get

\longmapsto s = 0×2 + 1/2×2 ×2²

\longmapsto s = 0 + 2²

\longmapsto s = 4m

  • Hence, the distance covered by the body is 4 metres.

Answer:

Distance = 4m

Step-by-step explanation:

Data:-

  • a = 2m/s^2
  • u = 0m/s (as the body starts from rest)
  • t = 2s

To find:-

  • Distance covered = s = ?

Formula:-

  • s = ut + \frac{1}{2} a {t}^{2}

Solution:-

  1. s = 0 \times 2 +  \frac{1}{2}  \times 2 \times  {(2)}^{2}
  2.  = 0 +  \frac{1}{2}  \times 2 \times 4
  3.  =  \frac{8}{2 } = 4m
