a body start to slide over horizontal surface with an initial velocity of 0.5m/s. due to friction its velocity decreases at the rate of 0.05m/s.how much time will it take for the body to stop

at first it will be 0.05m/s^2 not m/s
OK so u(intial velocity) = 0.5m/s
since at last v(final velocity) =0 as it comes to rest
retardation = -0.05m/s^2
we know
v=u+at
t=v-u/a
so t= 0-0.5/ -0.05
finally t= -0.5/-0.05= 10seconds please thank
