Answer:

Explanation: Since a body starts from rest so

                     Initial velocity (u)=0 m/s

                    Final velocity (v)= 10m/s

                   Time taken to acquire velocity (T)=5 seconds

                   Acceleration(A)=change in velocity/time taken

                   V-u/T. =10–0/5 =2m/s^2

                  Hence accelration is 2m/s^2.

                 (b) need to find ==> distance

                 given ==> acceleration, time, initial velocity and final velocity

                 procedure ==> s = ut + 1/2 at^2

                 s = 0*5 + 1/2 * 2 * 5 * 5

                 s = 0 + 5*5

                 s = 0 + 25

                 s = 25 m

                therefore, the distance covered by the body is 25 metres.
