Given:-

  • Initial velocity (u) = 0m/s

  • Final velocity (v) = 10m/s

  • Time Taken (t) = 2s

To Find:-

  • Distance traveled by body in 4s.

Solution:-

Firstly ,we calculate the acceleration of the body

By using 1st equation of motion

v = u+at

Put the value , we get

⟹ 10 = 0+ a×2

⟹ 10 = a×2

⟹ a =10/2

⟹ a = 5m/s²

The Acceleration of the body is 5m/

Now , we have to calculate the distance covered by body in 4 s. So

By using 2nd equation of motion

s = ut +1/2at²

Put the values , we get.

⟹ s = 0×4+ 1/2×5×4²

⟹ s = 0+ 1/2×5 ×16

⟹ s = 5×8

⟹ s = 40m

The Distance covered by body is 40m.
