Answer:

imagine that its speed/velocity changes per sec under the external action.

the displacement of the body say in a time interval dt

will be v.dt but v is increasing v= u +a.t

ds = (u +at)dt as u=0

ds = a.t.dt ,

if we add up displacements or integrate the left and right side from t=0 to t=t seconds we get distance covered s

s = (1/2) a. t^2

so here we are given the distance travelled s = 100 m and time t= 5 s

so, the acceleration a = {2 .100 m| /{ 25 s^2} = 8 m/s^2

Answer:

initial velocity = u = 0

distance traveled = s =100

time = t= 5 sec.

a=acceleration

equation of motion-:

s= ut + 1/2at

=0+1/2×25

1/2a =100/25

1/2a = 4

a = 4×2

=8m/s²
