\bf{\underline{Given}}:-

  • Distance (s) = 100 m

  • Time (t) = 5 sec

  • Initial velocity (u) = 0m/s

\bf{\underline{To\:Find}}:-

  • Acceleration (a) = ?

\bf{\underline{Solution}}:-

By using second equation of motion,

Putting all the values in second equation of motion,

\rm\:s=ut+\dfrac{1}{2}a{t}^{2}

\rm\:100=0\times{5}+\dfrac{1}{2}\times{a}\times{(5)}^{2}

\rm\:100=0\times{5}+\dfrac{1}{2}\times{a}\times{5}\times{5}

\rm\:100=0+\dfrac{25}{2}\times{a}

\rm\:100\times{2}=25a

\rm\:200=25a

\rm\cancel\dfrac{200}{25}=a

\rm\:8=a

\rm\:a=8\:m/{s}^{2}

Hence,the acceleration will be 8 m/s².

More Information,

Acceleration :- It is defined as the rate of change of velocity with respect to time.

  • SI unit of acceleration is m/s².
  • CGS unit of acceleration is cm/s².
  • It is a vector quantity.
  • It may be positive negative and zero.
