A body starts from rest and moves with a uniform acceleration of 5m/s what will be the velocity when it has covered a distance of 250m?

initial velocity, u = 0 (body starts from rest)

acceleration = 5m/s^2

distance covered = 250 m

we know,

v^2 = u^2 + 2as (3rd equation of motion)

so,

v^2 = 0^2 + 2 (5)(250)

v^2 = 0 +10×250

v^2 = 2500

v = 50 m/s (by solving underroot 2500)
