A body starts from rest and moves with a uniform acceleration of 10ms^(-2) for 5 seconds. During the next 10 seconds it moves with uniform velocity. Find the total distance travelled by the body (Using graphical analysis).

Answer:

for first 5 second uniform acceleration

so S1=ut+1/2at*2

u=0 (as starting from test)

S1=1/2×10×5×5

S1=125m

finding velocity after 5 second

v²-u²=2as

v²=2×10×125

v= 50

uniform velocity means acceleration is zero

so S2=50×10

so total distance s=625m
