1sec square = 1x1
distance covered in 1sec= 2m
distance covered in 2sec=2sx2m
=4m

where a is the distance, u is the initial velocity, a is acceleration and t is time.
so we have
u = 0 (since the body was at rest)
t = 2 sec
a = 2m/s^2
