Hey there!

Given,

Acceleration (a) = 2 m/s²

Time (t) = 2 s

∵ A body starts from rest.

Initial velocity (u) = 0 m/s

Now,

From second equation of Motion,

s = ut + ½ at²

s = 0 + ½ * 2 * (2*2)

s = 4 m

Hence, distance covered by it in 2 s is 4 m.

Answer:

The distance covered by the body in 2 s is 4m.

Explanation:

We will use the second equation of motion to solve this question. Which is given as,

s=ut+\frac{1}{2}at^2             (1)

Where,

u=initial velocity of the body

a=acceleration of the body

t=time taken by the body to reach the distance "s"

s=distance traveled by the body

From the question we have,

u=0           (∵ the body starts from rest)

a=2m/s²

t=2sec

By substituting the value of u, a, and t in equation (1) we get;

s=0\times 2+\frac{1}{2}\times 2\times (2)^2=4m

Hence,  the distance covered by the body in 2 s is 4m.
