Answer :

Initial velocity of body = zero

Acceleration of body = 6m/s²

We have to find distance covered by body in

  • 2 seconds
  • 20 seconds

⧪ ATQ, acceleration of body is said to be constant throughout the motion, we can easily apply equation of kinematics to solve this question.

2nd eq. of kinematics is given by

  • S = ut + 1/2(at²)

S denotes distance

u denotes initial velocity

a denotes acceleration

t denotes time

Distance covered in 2 seconds :

⭆ S = ut + 1/2(at²)

⭆ S = (0×2) + 1/2(6×2²)

⭆ S = 0 + 1/2(24)

S = 12m

Distance covered in 20 seconds :

⭆ S' = ut' + 1/2(at'²)

⭆ S' = (0×20) + 1/2(6×20²)

⭆ S' = 0 + 1/2(2400)

S' = 1200m

Cheers!
