Answer: 20 cm/s (0.2 m/s) and 700 cm (7 m)

Step-by-step explanation:

Initial velocity Vo = 0 cm/s  (∵ starts from rest)

acceleration a = 4 cm//s^2

distance, d = 50 cm

final velocity V =?

V^2 - V_0^2 =2ad

V^2 -0 = 2*4*50\\V^2 = 400\\V =20so, V =20 cm/s = 0.2 m/s

now starting from 50 cm with 20cm/s body travels for next 10 seconds, so

d =Vt + \frac{1}{2}at^2

d  = 50*10 + \frac{1}{2}*4*10^2\\ d = 500 + 2*100\\d = 700 cmd = 700 cm = 7 m
