Initial velocity=0.5m/s
Final Velocity=0
Its velocity decreases at rate of 0.05m/s^2
Means,
Acceleration=0.05m/s^2
Time=?

By using equation:-
v=u+at
$0 = 0.5 + ( - 0.05)t \\ 0.05t = 0.5 \\ t = 10$
Hence,the time taken=10seconds.
