A body starts to slide over a horizontal surface with an initial velocity of 0.5m/s. Due to friction, its velocity decreases at the rate of 0.05m/s2. How much time will it take for the body to stop?

use v=u+at to find the time
v = final velocity
u = initial velocity
a = acceleration
t = time
you have to find the time for the body to stop, so to stop means final velocity (v) must be "0" so substitute o as final velocity, 0.5 to initial velocity and 0.05 to acceleration, then by solving the equation u can get the answer
