if the system is under the force of friction and no other force is applied on it then, we use equation

v=u+at

v=0.5 m/sec.

u=0m/sec.

a=0.05m/sq

a is +ve because the direction of external force

then,

0.5=0+0.05 t

t=0.5/0.05

t=10sec
