A body starts to slide over a horizontal surface with the initial velocity of .5m/s sq. Due to friction the velocity decreases at the rate of .05m/s sq. How much time will take for the body to stop.

a=-0.05 m/s²
v=0
 By first equation of motion, we have:
 v=u+at
 0=0.5-0.05t
0-0.5=-0.05t
 -0.5=-0.05t
0.5/0.05=t
50/5=t
10 s=t
