hey mate here is ur ans
given
u=10m/s
a=5m/s²
t=5s
we know
s=ut+1/2at²
put the values
=10*5+1/2*5*5²=50+25/2=50+12.5=62.5m

hope it helps

Question:-

A body starts with an initial velocity of 20m/s and acceleration of 5m/s².Find the distance covered by it in 5s.

Solution:-

Given,

  • A body starts with an initial velocity of 20m/s with an acceleration of 5m/s²
  • It takes 5sec time then find the distance covered by the body.

Where,

u = initial velocity

v = final velocity

a = acceleration

s = distance

t = time

We have to use first equation of motion to find final velocity:-

u = 10m/s ; a = 5m/s² ; t = 5sec ; v = ? ; s = ?

➣ v = u + at

➣ v = 10 + 5(5)

➣ v = 10 + 25

\boxed{\bf{\color{yelow}{ \: v \: = \: 35m/s \: }}}

Now,

We can find distance by using the third equation of motion:-

➣ s = ut + 1/2 at²

➣ s = 10(5) + 1/2 × 5 × 5 × 5

➣ s = 50 + 5 × 5 × 2.5

➣ s = 50 + 62.5

\boxed{\bf{\color{yelow}{ \: s \:  =  \: 112.5 \:  }}}
