In the above Question, the following information is given -

A body takes half round of a circular track of radius 7m.

To find -

Find the required distance and displacement of the body .

Solution -

Here , the body takes half round of a circular track of radius 7m.

This movement has been represented as the following in the attachment.

Now, the body moves half a round of the circular track .

So , the body moves in a semi circle .

The displacement of the body is the length of the shortest path between the initial and final position.

Here , this length is equal to the diameter

So , the displacement is 14 m .

Distance refers to the total length of the path covered by the body .

Distance = π r .

=> 22⅐ × 7

=> 22 m .

Thus , the displacement is 22 m .
