A body thrown in vertically upward direction rises up to a height h and comes back to the position of start. Calculate the total distance travelled by the body and its displacement.

total distance travelled= h+h =2h

total displacement = h - h =0 (as displacement is a vector so both directions are opposite and equal and thus cancel out )
