The correct answer to the question is Yes i.e there exists an acceleration.

Acceleration is defined as the rate  of change of velocity.  Hence, it is a vector quantity.

As per the question, the body moves 10 m/s east ward. After travelling east, it turns north ward and moves with the same velocity.

Here, the magnitude of velocity is same in both the cases, but, direction of motion is different . Hence, the change in direction will lead to an acceleration.
