Speed = Distance / time

 \sf \: speed =  \frac{100}{2 \times \frac{1}{2} }  \\  \\  = \sf  \frac{100}{ \frac{5}{2} }  \\  \\  =  \sf \frac{100 \times 2}{5}  \\  \\  \sf \:  = 40  \:  \:  \: \frac{km}{hr}
