Given:-

Distance Travelled by a Body = 10 km

Time Taken = 20 sec

To Find :-

Velocity of Body

Formula Used :-

v = Δs/Δt  or  v= \frac{displacement}{time}

Explanation:-

Distance travelled is 10 km, They have not said the object travels in another route, So its a Linear Motion ( Straight Line Motion )

Here

Initial Velocity ( u ) = 0 km

Final Velocity ( v ) = 10 km = 10 × 1000 m = 10,000 m

Time Taken ( t ) = 20 sec

substituting values of v , u , and t in formula

⇒  \frac{10,000m-0m}{20s}

⇒  \frac{10000}{20}

⇒ 500 ms^{-1} is the correct answer

Important note:-

The values are given in km so you should convert it into metres because the S.I Unit is m/s not km/s, Hence Everyone do the common mistake in exams.

if they have given in KM convert it into Metres by multiplying it by 1000
