A body travels along a straight line path from A to B with a speed of 40km/h and returns back along the same path with a speed of 60km/h. Calculate the average speed and velocity.​

Average velocity is

(d + d)  \div ((d \div 40) + (d \div 60)) \\  \\  = (2 \times 40 \times 60) \div (40 + 60) \\  = 48
