A body travels at a uniform speed of 3m/s for 20 seconds then it stops for 10 seconds and then travels at uniform speed of 2m/sec. what is its average speed during the motion ??

distance = speed × time

= 3m/s + 2m/s × 30 second

= 5m/s × 30 second

= 150 metre

average speed = total distance ÷ total time

= 150m ÷ 30 second

= 5m/s
