A body travels distance 10m and 20m at a constant velocity of 5m/sand 8m/s respectively then average velocity of body​

Answer:

t1= 10/5=2s

t2=20/8=2.5s

avg. velocity = 30/(2+2.5)=30/4.5=6.6m/s

Solution :-

▪ Distances traveled by body =10m

▪Velocity of body =5m/s

∴ Time =Distance /velocity

➠ t=10/5=2s.

and,

▪Distance traveled by body =20m

▪Velocity of body =8m/s

➠ t' = 20/8=2.5s

there total time taken = t +t'=2s+2.5s=4.5s.

✰Average velocity = total distance covered by

body/total time taken

➠Av. velocity = 10+20

4.5

➠ Av. velocity = 30

4.5

➠Av. velocity =6.6m/s.

∴ The average velocity of body is 6.6m/s.
