◆Distance travelled in the first part=V1T1

◆Distance travelled in the second part=V2T2

------>Average velocity=(V1T1+V2T2)/T1+T2

If the velocity of a body moving in a particular direction changes with time,the ratio of the total displacement to the total time taken in the journey is called " average velocity."

so that's why,

  • The average velocity=v1t1/v2t2
