relative density of liquid is 2

A body weighs 4N in air 3N in water and 2N in a liquid then calculate relative density....

weight of body in liquid = weight body in air - Buoyancy force

⇒2N = 4N - ρ_(liquid)gV

⇒ρ_(liquid)gV = 4N - 2N = 2N .......(1)

weight of body in water = weight of body in air - Buoyancy force

⇒3N = 4N - ρ_(water)gV

⇒ρ_(water)gV = 4N - 3N = 1N ........(2)

from equations (1) and (2) we get,

⇒ρ_(liquid)/ρ_(water) = 2/1 = 2

⇒ relative density of liquid = 2
