Weight of body in water, Ww = 40g

Let Wi be the weight of the body in liquid .

Therefore we have

1.5 = Wa - Wi

        Wa - Ww

1.5 = 50-Wi

        50-40

1.5*10 = 50-Wi

= Wi = 50-15

Wi = 35g

Hence the weight of the body in liquid of specific gravity is 1.5 = 35gram
