Weight of body on the surface of the earth =mg=72N

Acceleration due to gravity at height h is

gh=(RE+h)2gRE2

Substitute h=2RE in above expression:

gh=(RE+2RE)2gRE2

=94g

Gravitational force on body at height h is

F=mgh

=m×94g=94×mg

=94×72N=32N

Therefore , the correct option is c.

Answer:

Complete answer:

On the surface of the Earth, i.e., at a height R (where R is the radius of the Earth), F=mg=72N. Hence, the correct choice would be 32 N.
